Winter Win: The Results

So, we've had a bit of a think. There were many strong suggestions, some straightforward, others a bit more avant-garde and one particular one which would no doubt invoke the wrath of Glen A. Larson's lawyers, should we ever release it... However. We have come to a conclusion, here in the Lab.

The flavour we shall introduce as a Winter special edition, to complement Alvarado (our 80% dark chocolate brownie with beetroot), is "Lucky", a 70% dark chocolate brownie, with orange oil and chili, plus additional hints of Cointreau, clove and cinnamon spice.

Now. This leads us to a bit of a quandary, as we have effectively merged a couple of features of ideas suggested by four different people! That's science for you. So, here's what we're going to do: the main suggestion of a "chili chocolate orange" brownie came from Ben Bexson, so he shall be the winner of our Monthly Tasting Club box this coming week. Mention goes also to Charlotte Twells, Juliet Jotcham and Saoirse Tracy for their contributions to the other flavour accents featured, so to honour this we shall get back in touch with these three when Lucky is due to be released and offer them a Compact box of the finalised flavour. It is unlikely they shall refuse... :)

Well done to them, and thanks ever so much to everyone else who got in touch with a suggestion - it is wonderful to know what flavours you enjoy and that you would like us to try and make them. Gives us something to do in the Lab, anyway.

On a similar subject, we're also reviewing feedback of one of the flavours which went out in our Monthly Tasting Club box in January: "Avenger", a (slightly) healthier blondie featuring oat bran, rapeseed oil, agave syrup and goji berries. It looks like we might have a candidate for a blondie counterpart to Alvarado and Lucky!
