That was a fun couple of days. Ladies and gentlemen, the guys and gals in the lab here at this as-yet-unnamed brownie company (pretty sure Management are going to get around to giving us a name at some point!) are very pleased to announce the arrival of our first flavour, the Pecan Brownie!

We've contrasted and compared loads of recipes, calling for differing amounts of the same sorts of things. We've plumped for a mixture that seems to mostly be eggs, if the number of shells littering the compost bin is anything to go by... No point skimping so we've gone straight to the Green & Blacks 72% cooking chocolate for our production version - it's by far the best we've seen on the supermarket shelf for cooking, as it melts incredibly easily and also carries that wonderful, pure cocoa flavour through to the finished brownie. Gotta level with ya, blog-land - we can't stop eating it. Don't think Management are going to be able to sell this one to Weight Watchers...
