Busy, busy, busy

Management have been riding us hard – there's some sort of event on at the weekend and they want another three or four flavours invented to let people try. Good thing we here in the lab love a challenge!

Been experimenting with caramel (what better than caramel to go with dark chocolate?), citrus oils, all sorts of stuff. Still not perfectly happy with the recipe we've got for the Atomic blondie, but it'll do for now. It's such a novel product for the UK anyway – we hadn't heard of it, no-one we spoke to had heard of it... to the extent that we don't rightly know if what we're baking is the real thing or not! Should it be more cakey? More fudgy? Less sugar, yet more sugar, white sugar, brown sugar... oof. Our collective pancreases are really taking a pounding. But a lovely pounding!

You'll like the lettering Management are using for the product names. They've found a very talented young chap with, shall we say, distinctive penmanship to give each flavour its own handwritten logo. Very striking they are too! He'll go far, that one...
